Research Trip Mr. Downes will be traveling to Michigan and the Wilderness Coast, Ontario to be conducting further research on Trail Marker Trees and pictographs.

August 21-29

Research Trip Mr. Downes will traveling to Ohio to visit Smoke Signal sites, Trail Marker Tree sites and the famous 1,400 foot long Serpent Mound that is over 1,000 years old.

Antioch Fine Arts Foundation Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction A benefit to help raise money for local artists and local art programs through the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation. Mr. Downes donated four signed and framed prints to this event.

Shermer Fest The Northbrook Historical Society will be hosting this fun, old fashioned festival. During the festival the Historical Museum will be presenting Mr. Downes' Trail Marker Tree exhibit, featuring his newest 5' Bronze Sculpture. Mr. Downes will also be donating a signed and framed Artist Proof to the raffle to help raise money for the Northbrook Historical Society.
